Effective October 29, 2026. This covers the Bogey Tally app and bogeytally.com.
Bogey Tally is a live golf scorecard. A group shares one card, enters scores, and follows the round. Skins, stroke play, and match play are scoring methods. The app does not take bets or handle money.
When you create an account we store your first name, last name, username, email address, and a hashed password. We do not store the password itself.
When you play, we store the round name, course, tee, scoring choices, player names, handicaps, and hole scores. A scorecard link can be opened by anyone who has it, so names and scores on that card are visible to the group.
Location is used only if you tap Near me while choosing a course. The app asks permission first. Your coordinates are sent to Bogey Tally so we can ask a course directory for nearby courses. We do not save your location on your account, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites. You can search for a course by name instead.
Course search is answered by OpenGolfAPI. That request includes the search text or the coordinates from Near me. It does not include your name, email, or scores.
Creating an account uses Google reCAPTCHA to block automated signups. Google receives that check under its own privacy policy. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
We use this information to run your account, show the scorecard, and let the group you invited follow the round. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
In the app, open the home screen and tap Delete account. On the website, sign in and open Delete account. Deletion removes your login, email, and password. Scorecards already shared with a group stay on those rounds, including the player name and scores that were entered, because the other players still use that card.
Bogey Tally is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Privacy questions can be sent from the support page.
